Mounting the blogging bandwagon

I’ve been working as a web designer for several years. I’m completely web savvy, know all about social media, and have designed blog sites for clients. So why have I never started a blog? Up until now, it’s been a combination of lack of time, a lack of focus on what I would use it for and a belief that no-one will read it.

This essay by Steve Yegge cites these as common reasons people have for not blogging and after a good read I finally decided to start. It seems an especially good time to do so since a lot has changed in my life recently and I’m looking forward to a time in the future when I can look back over this journal and see how my life changed after making the decision to leave my home town and try something new.

So here it is! Although obviously there’s not much here yet. But it’s early days and I’m looking forward to populating this with lots of interesting things, so I hope you can stick around to enjoy it with me.
